Talented as both a sculptor and painter, Rosie Sandifer is drawn to the wide open spaces of New Mexico, Colorado, and West Texas. In recent years, she has spent much of her time painting landscapes en plein air, following the tradition of Frank Reaugh and many other artists who have set up their easels in the Big Bend region.
